Southern Miss Theatre prepare for 'Showbiz'

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The students and faculty in the Department of Theatre at Southern Miss are looking forward to an exiting year in classic playwrights.

Tonight they kick off with their first play of the year, "Trojan Barbie," which received the Jane Chambers Award back in 2007 for theatre innovation in play-writing.

This play will began at 7:30 p.m. Tatum Theatre. 

Tickets are $14 for the public, $10 for faculty, staff, seniors and military and $8 for students. 

The "Illusion" play will premiere October 26th in the Hartwig Theatre at 7:30 p.m. General admission for this show is $8.

The final production of the fall season, "Galileo," will premiere November 9th at 7:30 p.m. in the Tatum Theatre. Tickets for this show are $14 for the public, $10 for faculty, staff, seniors and military, and $8 for students.
