Forrest County sheriff urging truck drivers to check weight limit on bridges

FORREST COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

The Forrest County Sheriff's Department is urging truck drivers to check weight limit signs on bridge. 

The department will be working with MDOT enforcing the weight limit on bridges in the county. 

"We want to make sure that we have safe roads and bridges for everyone to utilize," said the PSA issued by the department.

    The campus of William Carey was calm as the clock struck midnight and the date turned to January 21, 2017. Then-freshman soccer player Taylor Gautreaux turned in at about 1 a.m. She would be awoken two hours later to the sounds of a violent tornado just outside her dorm room wall.
