William Carey baseball wraps up regular season with sweep of Stillman

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

No. 23 William Carey wrapped up its regular season with a series sweep of Stillman College on Friday.

The Crusaders scored 32 runs in two games to close the regular season with a 36-15 record (17-7 SSAC).

William Carey’s six-run fifth inning in game one propelled the Crusaders to a 22-8 win over Stillman. Carey would go on to win game two of the day 10-4 to finish the year in third place in the SSAC.

The Crusaders face Blue Mountain College on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the opening round of the SSAC Tournament in Montgomery, Alabama.
