High School Baseball playoffs - Round 2

The second round of the MHSAA baseball playoffs began on Friday night. Here’s a look at how the teams around the Pine Belt fared in their respective games:

MAIS (First Round)

Columbia Academy (14) Manchester Academy (0)

Columbia Academy advances to play Starkville Academy in the second round.

Game one of that series is set for Tuesday at Columbia Academy.

Class 1A

Stringer (4) Nanih Waiya (18)

Game two is set for Saturday.

Class 2A

Richton (5) Enterprise (4) – 8 innings

Game two is set Saturday at Richton.

Class 3A

Seminary (10) Southeast Lauderdale (9)

Game two is set for Saturday at Southeast Lauderdale.

West Marion (6) Choctaw County (3)

Game two is set for Saturday.

 

Class 4A

North Pike (7) Northeast Jones (6)

Game two is set for Saturday at Northeast Jones.

Sumrall (1) East Central (2)

Game two is set for Saturday at East Central.

Class 5A

Wayne County (6) West Harrison (2)

Game two is set for Saturday at Wayne County.

Hattiesburg (5) South Jones (2)

Game two is set for Saturday at South Jones.

Pearl River Central (4) West Jones (0)

Game two is set for Saturday at Pearl River Central.

Class 6A

Gulfport (4) Petal (2)

Game two is set for Saturday at Petal.

Oak Grove (11) George County (1)

Game two is set for Saturday at George County.
