2 jailed after Hub City shooting

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

An afternoon shooting in the Hub City landed two people behind bars facing felony charges.

Around 2 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of West 4th Street for a report of shots fired, according to Hattiesburg Police Capt. Branden McLemore.

“Officers quickly located the suspects’ vehicle and arrested the driver, Breonna Gwin, and charged her with drive-by shooting,” McLemore said.

McLemore said another suspect, Brill Hamilton, was arrested for possession of a weapon by a convicted felony.

No one was injured in the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.
