FORREST COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Two people were injured in a wreck Thursday morning in Forrest County.

The McLaurin Fire Department in Brooklyn responded to the single-vehicle accident on old Highway 49 East near the McLaurin community.

The Nissan rolled several times before coming to a stop.

The car went off the road briefly due to the driver over-correcting, which began the rollover, according to officials on scene.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital with injuries. Their status is unknown at this time.
