HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Southern Miss softball lost at No. 12 Alabama Wednesday, 2-0.
Kim Crowson started for the Lady Eagles, allowing two runs on six hits in five complete innings. In relief, Jillian Johnson pitched one shutout inning in the top of the sixth.
Lauren Hollifield paced USM, going two for three at the plate. This was her seventh multiple hit game of the year.
The Lady Eagles (24-23) are back on the road this weekend to face Western Kentucky in Conference USA play.
