HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A project in Midtown Hattiesburg may cause traffic delays.

Willmut Gas will be working on Hardy Street near USM Monday and throughout the week helping with the development in midtown Hattiesburg.

One lane on the eastbound side of Hardy Street at South 31st Avenue will be closed, causing traffic delays in the area, according to Willmut Gas.

Recommended detours include Highway 49 to Hardy Street, or I-59 to Highway 11 to reach downtown.

This work is anticipated to continue through Friday, April 21, weather permitting, according to Willmut Gas.
