PETAL, MS (WDAM) - A Monday afternoon police chase ended with a Forrest County juvenile facing felony charges.
The juvenile, who is 16-years-old, is not being identified because of his age, according to Petal Police Chief Leonard Fuller.
The juvenile was charged with felony eluding and grand larceny-auto after the two-county police chase.
The chase began on Main Street in Petal and ended in Ellisville on Mississippi 590 according to Fuller.
Fuller added that the car was stolen, and it was reported stolen sometime after the initial chase.
There was a female passenger in the car was injured and was transported to a local hospital from the scene with non-life threatening injuries. She was not charged in the incident.
Petal police, Jones County Sheriff's Department, Forrest County Sheriff's Department, Ellisville Police, and Mississippi Highway Patrol assisted in the chase.
