HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The City of Hattiesburg has lifted a boil water notice issued for parts of the city affected by a water main rupture.
The water main break was contained late Tuesday night after the rupture earlier that morning.
The outage affected about 30 residents.
Crews are still working to repair the road where the rupture occurred.
Railroad contractors worked to connect a communications line between the cities of Gulfport and Jackson, which caused the rupture, according to a news release issued by the city of Hattiesburg.
