HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Golden Eagles continued their outdoor track and field season at the Southern Miss Invitational over the weekend.
Conference USA Indoor 60 meter champion Cra'vorkian Carson placed first in the 100 meters (10.51) and 200 meters (21.05). The Taylorsville native also helped Alexander Richemond, Curtis Walker and Jamad Smith win the 4x100-meter relay (40.53).
Oak Grove alum Dana Dillistone broke her own school record set just a week ago in the women's 1500m run with a time of 4:25.80.
USM freshman Nadia Maffo took first-place in the hammer throw (60.05m) while junior Brashe' Wood set a personal and Southern Miss outdoor shot put record with a throw of 15.81m.
Sophomore Danisha Jones also posted a lifetime-best discus throw of 49.31.
The Golden Eagles host the Southern Miss Open on April 28, their last event before the C-USA Outdoor Championships.
