RICHTON, MS (WDAM) -

One person is listed in critical condition and another is behind bars after a stabbing in Perry County.

Bridget Sartin, 51, of Richton was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault, with a knife, after an altercation Monday afternoon.

According to Perry County Sheriff Mitch Nobles, deputies responded to a residence on Hancock Road just before 2 p.m.

“Two roommates got into an altercation and one received a life-threatening cut to the neck area,” said Nobles.

Sartin was arrested by investigators at the scene according to Nobles.

Nobles added that the victim was transported to Forrest General Hospital and listed in critical condition, and the case is still under investigation.
