Search continues for information on stolen stop sign in Jones Co.

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - This is a news release from the Jones County Sheriff's Department. 

On February 16, 2017, Jones County Sheriff's Department was informed by Jones County Beat 4 Supervisor, David Scruggs, that a blinking/solar stop sign had been stolen.

The County had installed the sign at Spurline Road and Old Highway 15 South on February 2, 2017. Though an exact date is not known, it is believed the sign was stolen at some point during the second weekend of February (10th – 12th).

The investigation of this stolen property, valued at over $2,200 has turned up some leads from confidential sources, but those leads have not panned out.

The Jones County Sheriff's Department is seeking any further information concerning the sign, who took it and its whereabouts.
