ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) -

A woman who has been accused of posing as a healthcare worker to rob the elderly has been arrested and charged, according to Laurel police.

Rhonda Crenshaw, 55, made her initial appearance in court Monday, where her bond was set at $30,000.

She has been charged with one count of robbery in Laurel and faces additional charges in Ellisville.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery on North 7th avenue on Friday.

Crenshaw knocked on the victim's door and identified herself as a representative of a healthcare organization, according to LPD.

Police said she then forced her way into the home and robbed the victim of several items.

Ellisville police reported a similar incident Sunday.

Crenshaw was later arrested by the Ellisville police.
