School of Kinesiology Online Info Fair on Graduate Programs set for March 22

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The following is a news release from The University of Southern Mississippi

The University of Southern Mississippi’s School of Kinesiology, in conjunction with the Golden Key International Honour Society, will host a fully online information fair about its graduate programs Wednesday, March 22 between 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. CST.

At this online event, prospective graduate students can participate in a live chat with kinesiology faculty members. Information about kinesiology master’s and doctoral programs, the application process and funding opportunities will be provided.

The Southern Miss School of Kinesiology offers the following graduate programs:

• M.S. in Kinesiology: Exercise Science Emphasis
• M.S. in Kinesiology: Physical Education Emphasis (fully online)
• M.S. in Sport Coaching Education (fully online)
• Ph.D. in Kinesiology: Biomechanics Emphasis
• Ph.D. in Kinesiology: Exercise Physiology Emphasis
• Ph.D. in Kinesiology: Sport Pedagogy Emphasis

Participants will have the opportunity to chat directly with Dr. Gary Krebs, assistant director and clinical associate professor; Dr. Nancy Speed, assistant director and instructor; and Dr. Melissa Thompson, associate professor.

This latest book is called "A Mississippi Palate," to be released on November 1, and features 105 recipes, each with a Mississippi connection.     A suspect has been charged in the Saturday shooting of a Laurel 10-year-old.  Travis Lamont Lindsey, 29, turned himself in hours after the shooting and was charged aggravated assault, attempted aggravated assault, shooting into an occupied dwelling, drive by shooting and ex-con in possession of a firearm.
