HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg has added a new firefighter to its ranks.

Tony Robbins was sworn in by Mayor Johnny DuPree before a small crowd of firemen who were on hand to welcome him.

"It's really great to have him back, he's been gone a little over a year and a half. He'll bring our numbers up to 91," said Fire Chief Paul Presley."Some of our good guys are coming back. I'm looking to hire a couple of lateral transfers from other departments."

Presley said that 10 cadets will graduate from the fire academy next Friday, bringing the total to 101 firemen on the squad.
