Mississippi kid rapper, entrepreneur featured on Ellen

JACKSON, MS (WDAM) - A Mississippi kid rapper and entrepreneur from Jackson was featured on the Ellen DeGeneres show Monday.

Cory J, AKA Lil C Note was interviewed by the comedian for his rapping skills and entrepreneurial business model.

Cory sold CDs in Walmart parking lots to raise money for toys. He even gave Ellen his best sales pitch.

What he did with the money piqued Ellen's interest, and landed him a coveted interview on her show.

Cory told Ellen he went to different cities in Mississippi, Tennessee and Louisiana to give away $10,000 worth of toys to children in need.

"Why did you give away your money?" Ellen asked.

"Because I am a kid, and I would love to get free toys!" Cory exclaimed.

Cory then rapped a song that is featured on the albums he has sold.
