JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The 2017 Hal's St. Paddy's Parade will give a nod to Mississippi's 200th anniversary.

The theme of the 34th annual parade is "Happy St. Perennial at our Bicentennial". Parade founder Malcolm White says St. Perennial refers to perennial four leaf clovers and the perennial nature of the parade.

The music lineup will include Freedom, the Molly Ringwalds and the Mustache Band.

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians will be the grand marshals.

"They will lead the parade in a symbolic gesture to say they were here first. That this land was their land before it became our land." said White.

The parade is a fundraiser for Batson Children's Hospital. The 2016 parade raised more than $30,000.
