HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The "See Spot Run" dog park in Hattiesburg is one step closer to becoming a reality.

The fencing is being installed, the concrete work is complete and the water fountains are on their way.

Donations are still needed to finish the parking, which will cost several thousand dollars.

"We are about $7,000 short, and we desperately need some last minute donations to help us push this over the top, and it'd be a good time with tax time for someone considering helping us out to do so and it's through the Great Pine Belt Foundation where your donation could be made and they're 100 percent tax deductible," said board member James Moore.

You can donate through the Greater Pine Belt Foundation
