Seminary students give back, donate to 'The Hope Place'

SEMINARY, MS (WDAM) - Students from a 7th grade science class at Seminary Attendance Center are helping other kids have a Merry Christmas.
Each student bought gifts to donate to The Hope Place just across from the school.

The folks at the ministry will donate the gifts to children in need.
The ministry was founded by a husband and wife who were homeless themselves just a few years ago.

"The joy is knowing where people are because you've been there and it's knowing what just a little bit of hope can do to a person to make them feel better about themselves," said Margie Suggs, a founder of the Hope Place.

Jesse Suggs, the other founder of the Hope Place, "We started this ministry to help local people because the church and missionary money mostly usually goes out of state or out of the country but we have people right here."

The teachers at Seminary Attendance Center contact The Hope Place ministry when they know a child is in desperate need of help.
