Controlled chaos. Each year eager hearts and bright faces line the street in anticipation of the start of the Birthday Party for Jesus.

"We look forward to the excitement and hope that the children bring each year! In exchange, we desire to increase that excitement by the end of the program" said Jim Prout, Executive Director of Christian Services, Inc.

Hours before the beginning of the program, families can be seen taking their place in line at the entrance of the Lt. Ben McNair Recreation Center.

The Birthday Party for Jesus is an opportunity to share the true reason for the season! At the door opening, volunteers line the walk way to cheer-on and celebrate the guests! This year's program will feature Raphael (KZOE) Peters, local Christian Artist, who will spend time singing, dancing, and sharing the message of Christ! Each family has an opportunity to be feed physically, spiritually, and will leave with an extra special surprise!

The Birthday Party for Jesus is a free event and open to the public to be held Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Lt. Ben McNair Recreation Center 300 North 12th Avenue, Hattiesburg, MS 39401. Children must be accompanied by parents.

"We look forward to serving about 500 people at the party and having dozens of volunteers from different industries join forces to make this day a success!" said Vanessa Henson, Community Relations Director.
