"A Charlie Brown Jazz Christmas" comes to Laurel

(The Charlie Brown jazz Christmas concert takes place December 16 at 7 p.m. at the Arabian Theatre, located at 408 North 5th Avenue in downtown Laurel.  Part of the ticket sales benefit The Good Samaritan Center.  Visit www.cbjazzchristmas.com for more details.  More details in this press release submitted to WDAM7.)

The Charlie Brown Jazz Christmas has become a holiday tradition in Mobile. Kids, families and music lovers flock to this concert every year to hear the mastery of Vince Guaraldi's classic "A Charlie Brown Christmas". The cameo appearance of Snoopy and Woodstock brings joy to those of all ages. The 8th annual show will feature the Joe Cool Trio with John Milham (drums), Chris Spies (piano) and Chris Severin (bass), followed by sets including New Orleans's own Leon "Kid Chocolate" Brown on Trumpet and Clarence Johnson on Sax who both played with Preservation Hall Jazz Band  performing their favorite Christmas tunes.

A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the The Good Samaritan Center.

The Good Samaritan Center works hard to help struggling families in crisis by assisting with basic needs (food and clothing) and collaborating with other agencies to form a "network of helping hands". The Soup Kitchen, the only community kitchen serving hot meals in Jones County, will provide over 80,000 meals to hungry individuals this year.
Tickets are available at Southern Antiques in downtown Laurel or at www.cbjazzchristmas.com.
