JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - This is a news release from the Jones County Fire Council.
Two men were were injured after their vehicles collided Sunday morning. Units from Hebron and Calhoun Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene of the two vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 84 West and Highway 529.
Upon arrival, firefighters and Emergency Medical Responders found two heavily damaged vehicles, one in the middle of the highway and the other on the shoulder.
The black car sustained extensive damage to its front-end, and the blue car had extensive damage to its passenger's side. The drivers of both vehicles were believed to have sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported by EMServ ambulance to South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel for treatment; no other occupants were in the vehicles.
Emergency personnel on scene included Hebron and Calhoun Volunteer Fire Departments, EMServ Ambulance Service, Jones County Sheriff's Department and Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Fire apparatus included Hebron Rescue and Brush and Calhoun Rescue.
