HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A Hub City church is offering an early holiday gift to the people of the Pine Belt.

The congregation of 19th Avenue Baptist Church is hosting its annual Christmas musical and drama celebration called, "Merry Christmas Hattiesburg."

It's being performed Saturday night at seven o'clock, Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and Monday night at seven o'clock.

About 60 church members are in the production.

"It's the story of the Christ Child that was born," said Monty Bounds, church pastor. "You get to see the perspective from the shepherd, from Mary and from Joseph as they share the story of what it meant to them to be a part of this special story."

This is the seventh year for the program.
