USM men fall to FSU

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The University of Southern Mississippi men's basketball squad lost it's road contest against Florida State Tuesday, 98-49.

Eddie Davis III paced the Golden Eagles with 17 points along with five rebounds. Cortez Edwards added 11.

The Seminoles had four players reach double digits, led by 27 from PJ Savoy. Jarquez Smith had 14, Dwayne Bacon poured in 13 and Brandon Allen had 10.

USM (have lost three consecutive games) is now 3-4 on the year. Up next is a home contest Saturday (4:30 p.m) against Tulane.
