HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Jarrius Adams, 19, won the Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway, earning $100,000 in tuition money.

A graduate of Hattiesburg High School and current Ole Miss student, Adams is a passionate public speaker who is majoring in Public Policy Leadership and Political Science.

He has overcome significant adversity, including a PANDAS diagnosis at a young age, but persisted through the challenge and learned how to use his voice to tell stories, speak his mind and ultimately change lives.

Adams hopes to use his voice to raise awareness for education, as he believes it is the most important tool we have to shape the future of our nation and our world.

Over the past eight years, Dr. Pepper has awarded over $8 million in tuition money, helping students across the nation achieve their dreams.
