Kids Health Fair held at Rotaryfest in Ellisville

ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) - The Mississippi Department of Health along with Ellisville's Mayoral Health Council sponsored a Kids Health Fair at Rotaryfest in Ellisville Saturday.

Children were given free dental and hearing health screenings, as well as free ID and information kits from the police department.

There was even a bike rodeo for kids to show off their skills on two wheels.

"We want healthy eating habits, healthy activities," said Brandy Glaser, Ellisville Mayoral Health Council member. "Making sure lifelong healthy habits to lead for longer, healthier, happier lives and what better way than to start them young."

The Mississippi Tobacco Free Coalition was also on hand to show the kids the dangers of tobacco use.

Over 50 free bike helmets were given out to kids and adults by the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services.
