HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

USM tailgaters enjoyed their Thanksgiving break by setting up tents on campus.

For one tailgater, his attendance at the game meant more than filling a seat at the stadium.

"The reason that we are out here today is for the seniors," said Jason Bailey, USM Alumni 2001. "The weather is fantastic and all, but the season has not gone as we wanted it to go but were are out here supporting our guys."

Bailey's specifically chose to spend his holiday at The Rock for Will Freeman.

"I have always looked up to him, he always wanted to be a Golden Eagle and that is where he ended up," said Bailey. "He's gone through position changes and that really just speaks volumes about him as a person."

Bailey said his and others attendance mean the world to graduating senior players.

"We still have a lot to play for today, my personal favorite player is the D'Nerius Antoine, and look at Nick Mullins, all-time passing leader at Southern Miss, so hopefully he gets back on the field today and that's why were out here," Bailey said. "There's a bunch of tents showing up here right now and we just want to come out and show our support for the seniors."
