USPS Mississippi extends hours for holiday season

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Holiday shopping is now in full swing, which means the postal service hours have been extended. 

There will be 30 postal facilities throughout Mississippi either opening or extending their hours on Saturday, Dec. 10 and 17, leading up to Christmas Day.  

USPS predicts that the busiest mailing and shipping day will be Dec. 19. for packages, letters and cards. The busiest delivery day will be Dec 22. The Postal Service anticipates more than 30 million packages alone will be delivered just that day.
