A Hattiesburg man is behind bars and facing robbery charges after a Monday night incident in the Hub City.

Joseph Dennis, 19 of Hattiesburg, was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with one count of armed robbery, according to Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler.

“Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of West 7th Street, at Seven West Apartments for a report of a burglary in progress,” Traxler said. “Upon arrival, officers were advised one of the suspects was still in the complex, walking around.”

Dennis is currently being held in the Forrest County Jail where he is awaiting his initial appearance.
