HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Foreign language educators at grade schools across the South were at The University of Southern Mississippi Wednesday to learn how to more effectively teach French to their students.
A course on differentiated learning was hosted by the cultural services of the French Embassy.
It was the first time the course was conducted at USM and is only presented a couple of times each year at universities in the southeast.
It is designed to help educators teach students who have different levels of language comprehension.
The training was conducted by Pierre-Yves Roux, from CIEP (International Center for Educational Studies).
This organization has provided education and French language services worldwide since 1945.
