HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The TIDE School celebrated its recent accreditation at an open house Tuesday night. The school held an accreditation celebration at its school's new location at 1124 South 28th Avenue near Lincoln road.
The school caters to students with learning challenges.
They have been a part of the Hattiesburg area since August of 2015, but officials said the accreditation will help the school and its students continue to grow.
"The thing I'm most excited about is... because of the costs of our tuition a lot of families can't afford it," Tide School Executive Director Christie Brady. "This allows us to make what we're doing accessible to a lot more families. That's the best part. I would like it to be free for everybody but we're not there yet."
The school's director said that Educational Scholarship Account recipients can use those scholarships for services provided by the school.
