Perry County escaped inmate now in custody

PERRY COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

A Perry County inmate that escaped after walking off a work detail Monday morning is back in custody. 

Olin Ray Moody, 33, was found in Hattiesburg off of James Street around 4 p.m. 

Moody walked off a work detail in Perry County around 10:25 a.m. while working on Pumping Station Road with the District 2 Supervisors crew, according to Perry County Sheriff Mitch Nobles.

According to Nobles, Moody was working off old fines for a DUI 1st offense, careless driving, and no drivers license.
