Kichler recalls tens of thousands of light fixtures

UNDATED (WDAM) - A fire hazard has prompted the recall of ceiling light fixtures.

The recall involves more than 70,000 Kichler Krystal Ice flush mount ceiling fixtures.  They were sold at Lowe's and other lighting showrooms from April of 2015 through June of 2016.

The 40-watt halogen bulbs sold with the product burn too hot for the electrical supply wires in the ceiling, posing a fire hazard.

The fixtures also pose a fire hazard in homes with older wiring, even if used with lower wattage bulbs.

Contact Kichler at www.kichler.com or 1-800-554-6504 for more details on this recall.
