HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Hattiesburg police are investigating a Friday shooting that injured a man at a Hub City night club.

"Around 1:30 a.m., police were dispatched to 20 Broadacres Drive, for a report of shots being fired," Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler said. "Upon officers' arrival, they were advised a male subject had been hit and was transported to a local hospital by a privately owned vehicle."

According to Traxler, officers went to the hospital and located the victim.

"He was suffering from a non-life threatening injury to a lower extremity, and he was treated and released," Traxler said.

No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
