Wayne County residents have a new option for family healthcare.

The Laurel-based, Family Health Center, Inc. opened a new Waynesboro location Friday afternoon.

It offers adult, pediatric and OB-GYN services.

The center also has branches in Taylorsville and Sandersville.

"We are able to offer other programs, such as pharmacy service, we have included social services, and we have a WIC program," said Dr. Rashad N. Ali, CEO of the Family Health Center, Inc.

"We're blessed with a great local hospital, we have other providers, but this adds another piece to the puzzle," said Sean Dunlap, executive director of the Wayne County Economic Development District.

The Family Health Center is one of 21 community health centers in Mississippi.
