Reward increased for lead in case of missing Petal man

PETAL, MS (WDAM) -

A reward for information in the case of a missing Petal man has been increased. 

The family of James Slay Vidrine originally offered a $2000 reward for tips leading to his location, and Crimestoppers has increased that reward to $5,000 

Vidrine, 51, was reported missing and was last seen on October 8 in Petal around 8 a.m.

He was driving a 1984 Buick Electra. It had a Mississippi Antique tag with the number 203286. The car also had an "Aloha" sticker in the rear window.

    Southern Miss looks to add a Conference USA tournament title to its regular season crown this week in Biloxi. The Golden Eagles (39-15, 23-6 C-USA) open tournament play against UAB on Wednesday at 4 p.m. inside MGM Park. "Certainly, this tournament it's no different than a regional atmosphere, that's what it's about,” said USM head coach Scott Berry.
