LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

This is a news release from the Jones County Sheriff's Department.

On October 26, 2016, Jones County Deputies were dispatched to Ferris Mobile Homes, located on Highway 28 in Jones County, for a burglary call.  Upon arrival, deputies found 2 mobile homes burglarized.

In one home, a refrigerator was stolen.  While Jones County Sheriff’s Investigators were processing the scene, a deputy on patrol stopped a vehicle that was hauling a refrigerator that matched the description of the stolen property from Ferris Mobile Homes.

The person hauling the appliance stated he had purchased it from Dantel White, 32 of Laurel, on Facebook about 30 minutes prior.

As the investigation continued, it was determined White had used a utility trailer at the Ferris Mobile Homes burglary that had not been recovered from a September burglary in which he had been charged.  He is currently out on felony bond for that Grand Larceny charge.

White was charged with Commercial Burglary and turned himself in on October 27, 2016.  His initial appearance at Jones County Justice Court is scheduled for October 28, 2016 at 9 a.m.
