CAMP SHELBY, MS (WDAM) - The Mississippi Armed Forces Museum at Camp Shelby has reopened after being closed for 20 months for a $2 million Renovation.
State government officials, veterans and museum supporters gathered for a reopening ceremony Thursday morning.
Gov. Phil Bryant was the keynote speaker.
The renovation added about 10,000 square feet of exhibit space.
A new Medal of Honor room was constructed and a center courtyard was enclosed and converted into a grand hall for traveling exhibits and events.
