HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -
A welfare check in the Hub City led authorities to illegal drugs and counterfeit money.
Calvin Boykins, 33, and Errick Hardy, 31, both of Hattiesburg and a juvenile female were arrested at 6508 Highway 49 at Motel 6 Wednesday morning.
“When officers arrived they went to a room looking for the person in reference to the welfare check and made contact with the occupants and located illegal drugs and counterfeit currency,” Hattiesburg Police Lt. Jon Traxler said.

“All of the suspects were taken into custody and charged each with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of counterfeit currency,” Traxler said.
