NWS issues dense fog advisory for 11 Pine Belt counties

PINE BELT (WDAM) -

The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a dense fog advisory for the area until 9 a.m. 

A dense fog advisory means visibility will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. 

If you are commuting this morning, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. 

The Pine Belt counties under this fog advisory are Covington, Forrest, George, Greene, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Lamar, Marion, Perry, Stone and Wayne.
