PCS 28, Jackson Prep 16

Running back Isaiah Woullard ripped off a 78-yard touchdown run on his first carry, and brothers Rush and Justin Stewart added touchdown runs in the fourth quarter Friday night as Presbyterian Christian High School claimed a historic, 28-16 victory over Jackson Preparatory School.

The Bobcats (9-0) claimed a first-ever win over the Patriots (8-1). Prep, which has won the past four MAIS state crowns, saw a 29-game winning streak snapped.

Woullard finished with 228 yards and two touchdowns.

Rush Stewart scored on a 2-yard run on a fourth-and-2 in the fourth quarter and the Bobcats holding a 14-10 lead.

Justin Stewart broke a 34-yard run with 1 minute, 45 seconds, to play.

Prep quarterback Chance Lovertich threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns, with the scoring passes going to Jerrion Ealy and Tate Fowler.

PCS will host East Rankin Academy (2-6) at 7 p.m. Friday night.

Lumberton 47, Bogue Chitto 7

Dre Coleman rushed for 179 yards and three touchdowns on just seven carries as the Panthers (6-2, 3-0 Region 4-1) won their fifth consecutive game with a victory Friday night over the visiting Bobcats (0-8, 0-4).

Davion Edwards (48 yards, six carries) and Jaden Galloway (14 yards, three carries) also rushed for touchdowns as the) ran away to a 40-0 halftime lead.

Jared Tribett completed 6 of 8 passes for 114 yards, including a touchdown pass to Donnell Buckner.

Tribbett also threw a 2-point conversion pass to Edwards and was one of four players to score on 2-point conversion runs.

Dre Coleman, Rodriqus Coleman and Erron Joseph also had 2-point conversion runs.

Lumberton will visit Resurrection Catholic High School (7-1, 3-0) at 7 p.m.  Friday in a showdown of region unbeatens. The Eagles defeated visiting Sacred Heart High School 48-14 Friday in Pascagoula.

West Marion 44, Collins 0

Adrian Miller passed for 345 yards and four touchdowns Friday night as the Trojans (7-2, 2-1 Region 8-3A) rolled past the Tigers.

Stacy Brown caught four passes for 210 yards and three touchdowns, while Cyrus Thompson’s two catches went for 118 yards and two scores. Damion Johnson had 89 yards and a touchdown on three catches.

Miller, who completed 12 of 17 passes, had a 2-point conversion run. Jeremiah Holmes completed his lone pass attempt for an 86-yard touchdown.

Braxton Smith was credited with a safety.

The Trojans will visit Perry Central High School (5-4, 1-2) at 7 p.m. Friday. Collins (1-9, 0-3) will host St. Patrick (0-9, 0-3) at 7 p.m. Friday.

West Jones 10, Jackson Provine 10

Hunter Parish and Garrick Randolph connected on a fourth-quarter touchdown pass that locked up the first Region 3-5A victory of the season for the Mustangs (4-4, 1-3).

West Jones took a 3-0 lead on Walker Thompson’s field goal and the two teams wrangled their way through two, scoreless quarters before Parish and Randolph’s touchdown.

Running back John Oliver led the Mustangs with 60 yards rushing, as Provine limited West Jones to 123 total yards.

The Rams rang 72 plays to the Mustangs’ 47, but turned the ball over three times on two interceptions and a fumble.

West Jones will host Brookhaven High School (5-3, 2-2) at 7 p.m. Friday. Brookhaven lost 41-17 to Laurel High School Friday. Provine (5-4, 2-2) will visit Wayne County (4-4, 4-0) at 7 p.m. Friday. The War Eagles defeated Natchez 39-6 Friday.
