RICHTON, MS (WDAM) -

North Forrest got a 54-28 win over Richton Friday, improving its district record to 2-0.

It was all Eagles in the first half, with freshman Eric Robinson shining with two touchdowns.

Daylyn Croom connected with Robinson in the opening quarter to make it a 13-0 game. After a Richton touchdown, Christian Williamson scored on a kick return, pushing the North Forrest lead to 19-8.

The Rebels tried to keep it close with a touchdown run from quarterback Za’darius Mitchell.

The Croom to Robinson connection would hurt Richton once more, though, giving the Eagles a 27-14 lead.

A touchdown pass from Croom to Terence Kyser made it 34-14 at the half.
