LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

The biggest show in the area opens up tonight at the Magnolia Center in Laurel.

For the past several days, workers have been setting up the booths and cleaning off the rides to greet the around 90,000 people that will come through the gates to experience the thrills, the chills and the Ferris wheels.

Each of the 9-days are packed with live concerts and rides for all ages. The gates open at 5:00 p.m. and runs through 11 p.m. during the weekdays. On weekends, the gates open at noon and run through 11 p.m.

The Wade Shows midway hosts the event and includes a giant Ferris Wheel and many popular rides and booths. A popular ride for the little ones is Lil’ Pardner Land featuring the Carousel, Fun House, Grandpa Cratchet and The White Tiger Disovery. 

Each day have live acts, concerts and live musical entertainment from Restless Heart, Compozitionz, MoJEAUNX, and many others.  

General Admission is $5.00 and parking is free. Special pricing is available for unlimited rides.

    Southern Miss looks to add a Conference USA tournament title to its regular season crown this week in Biloxi. The Golden Eagles (39-15, 23-6 C-USA) open tournament play against UAB on Wednesday at 4 p.m. inside MGM Park. "Certainly, this tournament it's no different than a regional atmosphere, that's what it's about,” said USM head coach Scott Berry.
