JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A Jones County man has been charged with kidnapping and disturbing the peace.
On Thursday Jones County deputies responded to a call concerning a man getting into a female's vehicle and making her drive, against her will, to a residence on Coon Wade Road.
Casey T. Wade, 24 of Ellisville, was identified as the suspect, according to JCSD.
It was reported that Wade was leaving his grandparents' home after causing a disturbance.
The female happened to be dropping someone off at that residence when Wade was leaving. He got into her vehicle and told her to drive.
Wade reportedly gave the woman directions and at one point grabbed the steering wheel telling her to "go faster"."
When she reached the destination, Wade got out of the vehicle, threw some money in the front seat saying it was for gas, and made his way to the residence. The victim left the area and contacted authorities.
When deputies arrived on the scene, Wade had locked himself in the home.
Wade eventually came out of the home and surrendered to deputies.
He was taken into custody and charged with Kidnapping and Disturbing the Peace.
Friday Judge David Lyons set Wade's bond at $10,500.
