HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Day one concludes in the murder trial for a Hattiesburg man.
Daylon Waldrop is accused of killing Robert Williams in 2013. Prosecutors called three witnesses to the stand Tuesday, including the victim's girlfriend, who testified about the night of the shooting.
This is the second trial for Waldrop. His first trial in 2015 ended in a mistrial after the jury could not reach a verdict.
Two other men, Derrick Bolton and David Fairley pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder in connection with the shooting.
They were sentenced to 35 years. Trial for Waldrop is set to resume Wednesday morning.
