HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Hundreds of cancer patients, cancer survivors, families and caregivers got together for a special lunch in the parking lot of Hattiesburg Clinic Friday.
Forrest General Hospital's Cancer Survivors Picnic featured food, good fellowship and music.
Folks could also take time to sign a pink Toyota Camry. It's making the rounds in the Pine Belt as part of this year's "Drive 2 Inspire" campaign.
"I like the fellowship with one another, meeting one another, finding out how long they've been a cancer survivor," said Carrie Magee, a cancer survivor from Columbia.
"We're all very thankful, because it's God's hand that worked with these physicians to heal us," said Ed Reed, another cancer survivor.
This was the 12th year for the event.
