HATTIESBURG, MS -

If at any point Southern Miss sat back and relished in its program-record 702 yards of total offense on Saturday, that moment didn’t last long. It’s a new week and it’s on to the next one for the Golden Eagles.

That next one is Texas San Antonio. The Roadrunners are 1-3 under first-year head coach Frank Wilson. However, USM isn’t taking any team lightly.

Although the offense produced a record performance in its win over Rice, every Golden Eagle will tell you there’s still ways to improve.

Ultimately, Southern Miss’ end goals for this season are far greater than just breaking a few offensive records.
