HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Coach Tony Vance and his Hattiesburg Tigers crew cruised past visiting Long Beach Friday night.

The Tigers jumped out to a 35-0 lead through two quarters, ending in a 63-7 victory.

Wide receiver Jordan Murphy showed his Division I skills. The Tennessee commit tallied two touchdowns in the first half along with numerous confused defenders.

Quarterback Julian Conner got the scoring started with a run.

A rushing touchdown from Fabian Franklin and interception return by Tre Barnes carried on the momentum for the Tigers, making it 21-0 early in the second quarter.

Murphy ended the first half with back to back touchdowns.

The Tigers are now 4-2 overall and 2-0 in district play. They will hit the road next week to face Picayune.
