HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - If one were to judge the very first play from scrimmage for the Oak Grove offense, one may assume it would be a long night against visiting Forest Hill.
But that was not the case. Despite getting picked off on the opening play, the Warriors went on to get a 41-22 victory.
It was the second straight win for squad seemingly on the upswing after a victory over Hattiesburg last week.
The Warriors got first half touchdowns from Charles Hartfield on a pass from Tanner Slay, who also had a touchdown on a quarterback keeper.
Now 1-0 in district play, Oak Grove will be put to the test next week at Petal, which got a victory over Pearl Friday night.
